5 STARS!!!!!
"Daunted by the singular tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house.
But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades.
While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life."
I literally read this book from cover to cover as soon as I finished the first one I couldnt put it down until I was completely done, which is completely hard considering I have kids...yikes...bad mommy. I read this book with my either my heart tearing open, or my mouth hanging open it was just soooo good. Christian Grey comes alive in this book for me, so does Ana, she comes into her own and discovers what she wants and thats Christian, duh. I loved reading how these two characters become whole. They have so much work to do but I loved watching them come into their own, and finally let eachother in.
The first book literally leaves you hanging by your finger nails, and your heart hurts so much, I remember crying a heartbreaking cry at the end of the 1st book. It didnt help when I started the 2nd book either, cause they still werent back together at first....
"I miss him. It’s been five days, five days of agony that has felt like an eternity.
I wrap my arms around my body, hugging myself tightly, holding myself together. I miss him. I really miss him… I love him. Simple."
And then, they try again. He’s come to a realization, and one that fits her “more” perfectly. He wants her so much, that he’s willing to forgo what he knows… what he likes, to be with her. Awwwwww LOVE HIM!!!!
"His tortured expression haunts me. I remember he didn’t want me to go, which was odd. Why would I stay when things had reached such an impasse? We were each skirting around our own issues – my fear of punishment, his fear of… what? Love?"
But how long can that last? Is it just shell shock from losing her, that he drops his “normal” for hers.
"I’m anything but fine. I feel like the sun has set and not risen for five days, Ana. I’m in perpetual night here.”
I’m winded by his admission. Oh my, like me.
“You said you’d never leave, yet the going gets tough and you’re out the door.”
“When did I say I’d never leave?”
“In your sleep. It was the most comforting thing I’d heard in so long, Anastasia. It made me relax.”
My heart constricts and I reach for my wine.
“You said you loved me,” he whispers. “Is that now in the past tense?”
Oh man how can you not love this man? Hes perfectly in every since of the word. (well if you like the Dom type) hehehe....whats wrong with that right? Well to each their own, especially since he basically throws the contract out the window when it comes to Ana. He wants her so much that he doesnt even care about what he wants anymore hes found his new "normal" for her. Which if you ask me when you read this, they both get what they want, trust me. :)
I cant wait to write the review for Book 3. Im in fifty heaven...til we chat again.
